Finance Process
The Ford Motor Company’s Finance function was making a significant cultural change, transitioning the finance community from a transaction orientation to becoming business analysts for their customers.
In order to support this change, the financial processes were re-engineered to be better aligned with the strategic goals and objectives, and a web-based financial application was developed to support the new processes and replace the various legacy systems.
i3Logic was charged with the design and development of the process and application curriculum.
A blended learning approach was used to deliver the training:
- Structured workshops were used to introduce new processes, concepts, and tools (known as building blocks).
- Much of the initial delivery was instructor-led, so that specific dialogue could take place about what the change to business analyst meant for each job function within each process.
- Web-based training was also used to reinforce learning, and for post-training use as a reference.
- A finance website was implemented to provide FAQs, job aids, and templates to assist the learners post-training.
